Volaris is a Mexican airline that has an array of routes both within Mexico and internationally. They are known for their low fares and economic approach to air travel. Volaris is a great option to consider for those that don’t need a lot of frills on our flights.
Most of their routes are domestic. From Puerto Vallarta, you can fly direct to Guadalajara, Mexico City, Chihuahua, Tijuana, and Monterrey. Add in a connection, and you can get to any major city in the country. Volaris also has direct flights to Chicago, San Diego, and Phoenix for those looking for a great deal on longer flights to the US. They also fly to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Volaris is known for offering very low prices. are able to do this because they their base fare doesn’t include baggage or other extras. Instead, you are able to order the amount of baggage you will need, order your own food in flight, etc. This way, you decide how much cash you’d like to spend on extras and your travel experience. I have flown this airline, and the only noticeable difference that I found was less legroom. Other than that, everthing else was comparable to flying with a major US airline.
Other Mexican airlines that have similar economic approaches are Interjet and Viva Aerobus.
Have you ever flown on Volaris? I would love to hear from you in the comments below! -John
